Actress-singer Charo Laude has released her latest single, "Mahal Na Kita" under Alakdan Records.
Charo performed her latest single during the finals of Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021 pageant held at Okada Manila in Pasay City recently. She is also the national director of the national competition for empowered married women.
Asked whom she wants to dedicate her latest song, Charo smiled and said: "Ang hirap naman." Then later she answered: "Sa tao na special sa akin ngayon." The song is composed by Abe Hipolito, hitmaker and arranger of the OPM hit song "Buwan."
Fresh from the successful staging of Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021 pageant, Charo revealed her plans and goals for the coming months and new year.
"This year after ng 'Mahal na Kita,' ka-sunod na yun na release ng song ko 'Here to Stay,' the one we sang in Okada. Mother-and-daughter performance ito. Then may new Christmas song ako na lalabas," she said.
Charo added: "For 2022, I am planning for the regional pageant of Mrs. Universe Philippines. Then more songs to be released. I will conduct more charity projects. I want to have more shows. Sana, makagawa uli ako ng isang teleserye or movie. Sana marami pang dumating na business. I hope to travel na rin again."
The former beauty queen also revealed her Christmas wish. "I pray na mawala na ang COVID-19. Sana lahat ay magkaroon ng merry and happy Christmas."
