BTS Jin, SNSD’s Taeyeon, Gaho, will sing the main OST of upcoming K-Drama starring Gianna Jun

Qiyi’s first original K-drama gets a royal K-Pop treatment

International OTT content platform iQiyi announces the release of their Qiyi Original K-Series “Jirisan,” which will star Gianna Jun (“My Love from the Star”) and Ju Ji Hoon (“Princess Hours and Five Fingers”). The series is directed by Lee Eung Bok, whose previous works include “Descendants of the Sun,” “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” and was written by Kim Eun Hee (“Kingdom,” “Signal”).

Gianna and Ji-Hoon in the drama are set to be park rangers who together would unravel the untold mysteries and dangers of the peak of Mount Jiri. As show’s taglines translate, “Someone sends a signal from that mountain” and “I am sure that person is alive.” These cliffhanger messages leave the fans wondering who that survivor is and what he’s got to do with the two park rangers.

For those who didn’t know, Mount Jiri is a mountain in the southern region of South Korea at 1,915m. It is, in fact, the second tallest mountain in the Korean Peninsula, just falling short of Jeju Island’s Hallasan.

To add a cherry on the proverbial top of this Everest-like superb cast, Astory, the production studio in-charge of this upcoming action-drama, also surprised viewers in Korea and the world that BTS member Jin will be singing the series’ main theme song. Earlier this year, Gaho and Taeyeon had also confirmed the news that they will be contributing songs to this upcoming Korean series.

Fans of Gianna Jun, Ju Ji Hoon, Kim Seok Jin, Taeyeon, and Gaho are set for a fantastic treat in the latter half of October.

Be the first to hear the soundtrack and see the action this Oct. 23, 2021 at 9 p.m. KST (10 p.m. PH time), in tvN in South Korea and on iQiyi around the world.
