Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna files COC for Manila mayor


Manila Vice Mayor Ma. Sheilah "Honey" Lacuna-Pangan filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for Manila mayor in the 2022 local elections on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Lacuna and her running mate, Manila Representative Yul Servo Nieto filed their COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) located in Arroceros in Ermita, Manila around 9 a.m.

The vice mayor officially launched their tandem at Baluarte de San Diego, Intramuros, Manila on Wednesday.

Lacuna will be the first female mayor of the nation's capital if she wins the mayoralty race in May 2022.

Lacuna led the six district hospitals in the nation's capital and the Manila Health Department (MHD) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

She vowed to continue all the projects and programs initiated by Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso if she wins in the elections.

Lacuna also promised to further improve the health services in the city by building a “super health center” in every district of the city.
