Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, Oct. 6, vowed to continue the “Build, Build, Build” projects of the Duterte administration if he is elected as the country’s next president.
“Mga kababayan, ang commitment ko sainyo, lahat ng sinimulan ni Pangulong Duterte na mga ‘Build, Build, Build’ itutuloy natin. Kapakinabangan ng tao ‘yun, (My compatriots, my commitment to you is that we will continue everything that President Duterte started such as the ‘Build, Build, Build’. It’s for every individual’s benefit),” Domagoso said in a Facebook live.
“Pangalawa, tax payers money yun. We give credit when it’s due and where it’s due,” he added.
He pointed out that some politicians tend to remove the projects that was done in the past when the administration changes.
Meanwhile, Domagoso assured that those who did something wrong will be held accountable.
“‘Yung mga masasama naman na mga ginawa ng iilan ay papapanagutin natin… ‘Yung mga nag ‘plundemic’ or plunder in pandemic… papanagutin natin sa mata ng batas, hindi sa kapritso ng Presidente (We will hold accountable those who did evil deeds… those who plundered during the pandemic … we will hold them accountable in the eyes of the law, not at the whim of the President),” he said.
Domagoso officially announced his bid for presidency in the 2022 national elections last Sept. 22.
He filed his certificate of candidacy on Monday, Oct. 6.
“I will be a healing president. I will welcome criticisms. I do not run on promises. I run on prototypes,” the Manila mayor said during the launch of his presidential bid.
“While I believe in the power of example, I also recognize the need for constant innovation. I may not give you a perfect government, but together, we can make it better,” he added.
