Many are curious as to why Kim Atienza transferred to GMA after 17 successful years in ABS-CBN.
There were a lot of speculations.
There were also people critical of his move.
During a recent press conference, Kim divulged the reason behind his transfer.
Apparently, he simply wanted to do more.
He said: "I wanted to grow and to explore. I felt like if I stayed on, I would retire as a weatherman...”
He then cited the Bible, particularly the parable of the talents.
“All of a sudden, I see this opportunity. I was given the chance to be able to make my talent, 10 talents in the Kapuso network. It would be a sin, a disservice to my Lord not to take it,” he said.
Kim then promised fans: “This will be a much better, improved, more passionate Kuya Kim."
