PAGASA has lifted all remaining tropical cyclone wind signals as tropical depression "Lannie" moved over the West Philippine Sea.
It estimated the location of the center of Lannie at 165 kilometers west of Coron, Palawan at around 10 a.m.
Based on the latest forecast track, PAGASA said Lannie will likely leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening, Oct. 6.
8 a.m., Oct. 5
PAGASA said Signal No. 1 is still up in the northern portion of Palawan, particularly El Nido, Taytay, Dumaran, Araceli, and Calamian Islands.
After making landfall over Iloc Island, Linapacan, Palawan at 6:15 a.m. and in El Nido, Palawan at 6:45 a.m., Lannie was already over the coastal waters of El Nido at around 7 a.m.
5 a.m., Oct. 5
Six areas remain under tropical cyclone wind signal number 1 as tropical depression "Lannie" heads toward Palawan.
Signal No. 1 is still up in the southwestern portion of Romblon, southern portion of Oriental Mindoro, southern portion of Occidental Mindoro, northern portion of Palawan, including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Antique, and western portion of Aklan.
PAGASA said Lannie has maintained its maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph while moving northwest at 25 kph.
Its center was located 90 kilometers northwest of Cuyo, Palawan at around 4 a.m.
11 p.m., Oct. 4
PAGASA said the center of tropical depression "Lannie" was estimated at 120 kilometers south-southeast of Cuyo, Palawan.
"Tropical depression Lannie is forecast to turn more northwestward in the next 12 hours and may make landfall in the vicinity of northern mainland Palawan or Calamian Islands tomorrow morning (Oct. 5) before emerging over the West Philippine Sea shortly thereafter," PAGASA said.
"Furthermore, a close approach or landfall in the vicinity of the Cuyo archipelago is possible within the next six hours as the depression traverses the northern Sulu Sea. During this period, Lannie will remain a weak tropical depression," it pointed out.
The tropical depression was still packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph while moving faster at 35 kph westward.
8 p.m., Oct. 4
Tropical depression "Lannie" is headed for another landfall in the southern portion of Panay Island on Monday evening, Oct. 4, PAGASA said in its 8 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin.
Lannie has so far made eight landfalls in these areas: Bucas Grande Island, Socorro, Surigao del Norte (4:30 a.m.); Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands (5 a.m.); Liloan, Southern Leyte (7:30 a.m.); Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte (8 a.m.); Mahanay Island, Talibon, Bohol (12:30 p.m.); and Banacon Island, Jetafe, Bohol (12:45 p.m.); San Fernando, Cebu (1:45 p.m.); and Guihulngan, Negros Oriental (3:30 p.m.).
As of 7 p.m., PAGASA said Lannie was already over the coastal waters of San Joaquin, Iloilo.

Fewer areas remain under Signal No. 1 after tropical depression "Lannie" made eight landfalls on Monday, Oct. 4, PAGASA said.
Lannie has so far made landfall in these areas: Bucas Grande Island, Socorro, Surigao del Norte (4:30 a.m.); Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands (5 a.m.); Liloan, Southern Leyte (7:30 a.m.); Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte (8 a.m.); Mahanay Island, Talibon, Bohol (12:30 p.m.); and Banacon Island, Jetafe, Bohol (12:45 p.m.); San Fernando, Cebu (1:45 p.m.); and Guihulngan, Negros Oriental (3:30 p.m.).

Tropical depression "Lannie" is expected to make its seventh landfall in central Cebu in the next few hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 2 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin on Monday, Oct. 4.
Lannie has so far made landfall in these areas on Monday--Bucas Grande Island, Socorro, Surigao del Norte (4:30 a.m.); Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands (5 a.m.); Liloan, Southern Leyte (7:30 a.m.); Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte (8 a.m.); Mahanay Island, Talibon, Bohol (12:30 p.m.); and Banacon Island, Jetafe, Bohol (12:45 p.m.).
As of 1 p.m., PAGASA said tropical depression Lannie was already over the coastal waters of Jetafe, Bohol.

Lannie has so far made landfall in these areas--Bucas Grande Island, Socorro, Surigao del Norte (4:30 a.m.); Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands (5 a.m.); Liloan, Southern Leyte (7:30 a.m.); and Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte (8 a.m.).
As of 10 a.m., PAGASA said tropical depression Lannie was already over the coastal waters of Maasin City, Southern Leyte.
It was packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph while moving west-northwestward at 20 kph.

Tropical depression "Lannie" made landfall over Bucas Grande Island in Socorro, Surigao del Norte at around 4:30 a.m., and Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands at around 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, PAGASA said.
In its 8 a.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, PAGASA said Lannie is already over the Surigao Strait and is about to make landfall in Southern Leyte.
Lannie has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is moving west-northwestward at 15 kph.
5 a.m., Oct. 4
As of 4 a.m., the center of tropical depression "Lannie" was estimated at 100 kilometers east of Surigao City.
PAGASA said the tropical depression will likely make landfall over Siargao-Bucas Grande Islands in the next six hours.
Tropical cyclone wind signal number 1 is now in effect in 23 areas due to the anticipated passage of Lannie.

The low pressure area off Surigao del Norte developed into a tropical depression and was given a local name "Lannie."
