Manila administers 2.5-M COVID-19 vaccines


The number of administered vaccines in Manila reached 2.5 million on Thursday.

In a Facebook post, the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) announced that as of 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 30, the city has administered a total of 2,528,840 vaccines.

About 1,349,079 individuals have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 1,218,568 have been fully vaccinated.

The vaccination in the city was held at barangay health centers, school vaccination sites, and drive-thru vaccination.

The city government through the Manila Health Department (MHD) will continue the first dose vaccination of A1 to A5 priority groups.

Vaccinations in schools, drive-thrus, malls, and San Andres Sports Complex will still follow the “no walk-in” policy. Only the barangay health centers will allow walk-ins.
