Five individuals have filed their certificates of candidacy for president for the May 2022 polls as of 12 noon Friday, Oct. 1
Based on the list provided by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) they are Senator Manny Pacquiao, Dave Aguila, Dr. Jose C. Montemayor, Ley Ordenas and Edmundo Rubi.
For Vice President: Buhay Partylisy Rep. Lito Atienza.
For Senator: Lutgardo Barbo, Loren Legarda, Chiz Escudero, Abner Afuang, Bay Maylanie Esmael, Norman Marquez, Bertito Del Mundo and Risa Hontiveros
For Partylist: Agap Partylist, Kabayan Partylist, An Waray (to return), DIWA, Pilipinas para sa Pinoy, Alona, Democratic Workers Assoc, Toda, CANCER, People's Volunteer Against illegal Drugs, Patriotic Coalition of Marginalized Nationals, INC (1-PACMAN).
The filing of COCs and the certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) for natiobal positions is being held at the Harbour Garden Tent of Sofitel in Pasay City.
The Comelec earlier set the filing of COC from Oct. 1 to 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
