Tokyo Olympics veteran Yuka Saso continues her pursuit of a second LPGA Tour title when she joins two tournaments this October in New Jersey.

Saso, the reigning US Women’s Open Champion, posted on her official Instagram account Monday (Tuesday in Manila) that she will be seeing action in East Coast.

“After a month off good to be back,” said the 20-year-old Saso on her IG handle @yukasaso_official. “Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors. Next up NJ.”

The two events Saso is expected to join are the Shoprite LPGA Classic – a $1.75 million tournament – on Oct. 1-3 at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in New York Rd, Absecon, and the $3 million Founders Cup on Oct. 7-10 at the Mountain Ridge Golf Course at Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell.

Saso finished with a total score of 199 during the 54-hole, three-day event at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last Sunday at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Northwest Arkansas.

The double gold winner in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia had a 69 on the opening day then had back-to-back 65s – the last one highlighted by eagles on par-5 holes 7 and 18.

The current No. 7 player in the world and third in the money list order finished in joint fourth to fifth spots in the $2.3 million tournament with eighth ranked Danielle Kang of the US.

Japan’s Nasa Hataoke claimed the title with a final round 67 for a total of 197.

Saso, whose last tournament prior to the Arkansas competition was a tie for 39th during the Women’s British Open Championship in Scotland, earned a total prize money of $104,506, or approximately P5.22 million.

Compatriots Dottie Ardina and Bianca Pagdanganan, finished tied for 56th and 74th at the Walmart meet, are also expected to play at the Shoprite LPGA Classic, and are on the reserved list in the Founders Cup.
