How to become an empowered woman this pandemic?

18 Influential women giving advice on how to thrive in this pandemic

It is an understatement to say that the pandemic changed our lives. In fact, its effects are beyond just being a physical illness. And, unfortunately, a lot of the challenges that have come with it seem to be far worse for women.

Even during the pre-pandemic times, many women all over the world already earn less compared to their male counterparts. With the pandemic halting activity for most industries, a lot of people’s jobs have been put on hold temporarily or, worse, permanently for some. And when women are out of work, the effects are felt even by the people who depend on them. While staying indoors proves to be an essential step in avoiding the virus, for some women, it is like being imprisoned. According to the United Nations, there is a surge of domestic violence with the 2020 lockdown, affecting women and girls more than men. And then there is the so-called “pandemic effect,” which preyed on women’s changing visage during the pandemic.

Aiming to put an end to all of those and to inspire, uplift, and encourage women during these trying times is the virtual event “Diva Fest.” Helmed by friends and women coaches Ning Tadena, Badette Araullo, Marcie Linao, and Bev Jones, the event will feature inspirational women who have dared to have it all, dared to dream again, and live full lives despite facing multiple challenges. Happening from Oct. 8 to 10, 2021, it is a celebration of being a woman as well as talking about great tools, products, and techniques to help them live lives of beauty, love, and purpose.

“In this amazing Diva Fest, we are going to share more tips, helpful stories, and help us all grow in love, beauty, and gratitude,” Ning says. “But don’t just take it from me. Take it from the amazing women who are going to share their wisdom and stories with you.”

Headlining the event are Filipina-French VJ, actress, TV host, model, singer, fashion designer, painter, and professional make-up artist Solenn Heussaff talking about how to “Dare to Have it All”; actress, television host, dancer and She Talks Asia co-founder Iza Calzado Wintle sharing about how to “Dare to Dream Big”; and TV host, writer and advocate Bianca Gonzales-Intal talking about how to “Dare to be YOUnique.”
