The Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) has reported at least 95 percent recoveries of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province.
The PHO, in a report to Governor Daniel R. Fernando on Monday, Sept. 27, said that 242 new cases were recorded, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the province to 70,735. Of this number, 67,318 or 95 percent have recovered, while 2,130 are active cases.
Out of the total 2,130 active cases, 538 are admitted in the hospitals, 241 are in Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMF), while 1,351 are under home isolation.
The PHO also reported to the governor that no additional deaths were recorded, with the number of fatalities remaining at 1,287. Hospitals in the province, both private and public, particularly their Intensive Care Units, are still full of patients, some of them children.
Fernando, during the distribution of P3,000 educational assistance to Bulacan students at the Bulacan Sports Complex in Barangay Sta Isabel, City of Malolos on Monday, reminded the students not to be complacent in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said the virus does not choose who to infect and urged the still unvaccinated students to get their COVID-19 vaccine shots.
