Over P2-M worth of shabu seized, 2 arrested in Bulacan drug bust


Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized some P2.04 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two alleged drug pushers in an entrapment operation in San Jose, del Monte, Bulacan on Monday, Sept. 27.

PDEA Central Luzon Regional Director Bryan Babang identified the suspects as Ton Ton Kudarat, 31, of Quiapo Manila and Zanaira Ibra, 26, of East Fairview Quezon City.

He said the suspects were caught by surprise by the drug bust and did not resist arrest when collared by the PDEA operatives at 2 p.m.

Aside from the 300 grams of shabu packed in two pieces of knot tied transparent ice bag , the sting operation yielded one unit of Honda Beat motorcycle and marked money.

The suspect are facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26 paragraph B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
