The Manila city government suspended work on Monday (Sept. 27) beginning at 3:30 p.m. so that City Hall employees can observe "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day."
Offices in the city whose functions are basic health and vital services will continue with their operations such as the Manila Health Department, Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Manila Department of Social Welfare.
The "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day" is celebrated every fourth Monday of September every year to encourage parents to frequently eat dinner with their children and be involved in their children's lives .
