Filipino musician Eduard Banez (known for being a member of Star Magic Batch 15) is currently working on an upcoming brand-new Nickelodeon comedy series!

Banez decided to pursue a musical career after his rendition of Sharon Cuneta’s Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko, composed by Rey Valera, got over 120,000 views on YouTube.

He also went into newscasting and worked with Net25 and co-anchored by a tele-radio show with singer-comedian Arnell Ignacio on Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM. Eduard managed to complete his nursing course at the New Era University then.

But when his family migrated to the U.S. in 2015, he joined them and also moved there.

He worked on the US West Coast. After some time in California, he had a chance to work with Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber in the music video, “I Don’t Care.”

He also took the pleasure of working with Sia and her team in the music video Chandelier. He shares that they used a lot of antique furniture from Africa for the shoot.

He is honored to work with Sia and plans to bring the talented artist to perform in Manila and to release a single for her and also for pop and soul singer-songwriter Cassie Ventura and other artists. Well, that’s gonna happen after the pandemic eases off.

While working, Eduard still finds time to pursue his studies in political arts media history at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).

He has been busy lately doing a comedy sitcom for Nickelodeon. On the side with his regular job at the popular California theme park, Six Flags, best known for its largest roller coasters in the world.

If this pandemic is over, he wants to go back to the Philippines to pick up from where he left off. But because of the travel restrictions and hassles, it will not be easy. So, that can wait.

Eduard admires Mariah Carey and Boyz 2 Men. And Nina in the local front.

A lot of plans but nothing is impossible. Only Covid puts a halt to many activities and schedules.

“It’s not enough just to dream of your ideas. Make plans. You’ve got to take action to bring about their creation. Fuel your passion.” Eduard talking as if in surreal.
