Active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the province of Bulacan are on a decline, according to Governor Daniel R. Fernando.

In a Facebook post, Fernando rurged Bulakenyos to strictly follow the minimum public health standards.

"Humihingi po ako ng inyong pang-unawa, ang inyong pakikiisa ay napakalaking tulong laban sa pagsugpo ng COVID-19 at nagbibigay lakas sa aming inyong mga lingkod bayan," ( I ask for your understanding. Your cooperation is a big help in the fight against COVID-19 and gives strength to us, your public servant)," Fernando said.

He said despite the new COVID-19 cases recorded daily by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the number of active cases continues to decline.

Fernando is hopeful that this downward trend will continue as he cited that 4,000 to more than 3,000 active cases daily reported by the PHO a few days ago decreased to 2,707 from 2,752 on Wednesday, September 22.

Fernando said the PHO has logged 405 new cases that were added to the total confirmed COVID-19 cases of 69,697 wherein 65,712 or 94 percent have recovered. Three new deaths were also recorded, bringing the total COVID-19 fatalities to 1,278.

Of the 2,707 active cases, 715 are admitted in the hospitals, 257 are in Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMF), while 1,735 are in home isolation.
