According to the police, the group operates in Pateros, Taguig, and Pasig and is responsible for the proliferation of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in these areas.

Sanchez was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Pateros Drug Enforcement Unit last Sept. 21.

Recovered from his possession were four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and a .38 caliber revolver loaded with three live ammunition.

The seized illegal drug items will be turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

Sanchez will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

"The leader is the most important person in a syndicate and the arrest of the leader of the Roland Sanchez group is a good indication that we have crippled this syndicate. I congratulate the Pateros police for their successful operation against the group,” said SPD Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg.
