Does Trillanes agree with FB 'Yorme-Mayor' comparison?

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV kept quiet the whole day Wednesday, Sept. 22, the day his fellow opposition figure Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso declared his bid for the presidency in May 2022.

However, the firebrand ex-solon shared a Facebook post that same evening that may have betrayed his true feelings about the headline-grabbing political shindig.

Shared by Trillanes to his followers was a post by one Ron Diso that likened "Yorme" and "Mayor".

"Yorme - binaliktad lang na Mayor. Pareho lang yan sila. Gets? Yun na yun! #wagpaloko (Yorme - Mayor spoken in reverse. They are the same. Get it? That's it!)," read Diso's post.

The hashtag #wagpaloko literally means "don't be deceived."

As even the most casual observer of local politics know, "Yorme" is a reference to Domagoso, while "Mayor" alludes to President Duterte.

Unfortunately, Trillanes didn't provide any caption or comment, which would have given context to his post. But then again, he probably wouldn't have shared Diso's upload if he didn't find it amusing at the very least.

Trillanes' post has ganered over 2,500 likes as of this posting.

The Magdalo leader and former Navy lieutenant is still waiting on Vice President Leni Robredo's decision on whether or not she would vie for the presidency in next year's national elections.

Trillanes--a 1Sambayan nominee like Robredo--had earlier said that he would run for the Palace seat himself in case the Vice President balks at it.
