BDO enhances digital services via BDO Pay

Sy-led BDO Unibank has been enhancing its technology and security infrastructure to deliver its products and services in a faster, simpler and more secure way for its clients.

The bank has recently added its digital payment app BDO Pay to its roster of digital banking channels to provide clients an alternative option to do bank transactions and payments without the need to visit a branch.

With the said digital payment app, BDO clients need not move in and out of different apps just to transfer money from one account to another.

Moreover, having a digital payment app linked directly to client’s bank account allows the former to save from paying cash-in fees repeatedly.

BDO Pay has five key functions that enable clients to do banking transactions and easily manage their finances online.

These features—Send Money, Pay Bills, Scan to Pay, Split Bill, and Request Money—are readily accessible upon downloading the BDO Pay app from Google Play, App Store, or Huawei AppGallery.

Using BDO Pay, clients can directly link their BDO account and credit card.

For Send Money, BDO Pay users can send an amount to other BDO Pay users free of charge just by using their phone contacts or by typing in the mobile number of the recipient.

Other options are sending money to the recipient’s account number or email address.

Pay Bills, meanwhile, allows BDO Pay users to pay their bills to credit cards, telecoms/internet, electric and water utilities, TV/cable, loans, investment, government, and transportation, among others, without the need to enroll them.

Clients can use this feature wherever and whenever they need it, and it is also free of charge.

For its part, Scan to Pay enables BDO Pay users to pay various merchants just by scanning their QR code with the users’ mobile phone camera. Payments are reflected in real-time.

With the Split Bill feature, BDO Pay clients can divide group bills with up to five other people and request money in one tap.

BDO Pay users can also Request Money from other users of the digital wallet of up to P50,000 per person. The person, who was requested money from, will receive a notification from BDO Pay. Once this person accepts the request and sends the money, the receiver will get a notification and a transaction receipt.
