Tanay LGU logs 60 new COVID-19 cases including 5-year old boy


Tanay has recorded 60 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, including a 5-year old boy, bringing to 418 the total number of active cases in the municipality.

As of September 21, a 5-year old boy from Barangay Katbayani, who was asymptomatic was logged as the youngest among the new active cases in the town.

Aside from the youngest COVID-19 case, six others with ages 13, 14, and 15, were among the new cases added to the list of confirmed cases. The town now has 2,782 confirmed cases, 2,292 recoveries, and 72 deaths.

Out of the total number of active cases in the municipality, Barangay Sampaloc, an upland village, has the most number of cases with 116.

Tanay recorded eight new recoveries and two deaths on Tuesday, September 21.
