P34-K worth of ‘shabu’, gun seized in Isabela buy- bust


Combined operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested a drug pusher and seized some P34,000 worth of ‘shabu’ a in a buy-bust operation in Santiago City, Isabela.

In a PDEA report, the suspect was identified as Brian Cantry Guiring, 35, who was nabbed while selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic of ‘shabu’ to an undercover agent at 7:30 p.m. along Salvador Road, Purok 6, Rizal.

The anti-narcotics operatives seized 14 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less five grams and one loaded Norinco caliber 45 handgun with no serial number placed inside a black sling bag.

PDEA records showed that Guiring is a second time offender who was first arrested in 2014 and was released through a “plea bargaining agreement’ in 2019.

The inventory and markings of the pieces of evidence were conducted with barangay officials and members of the media present as witnesses at the crime scene.

Guiring is facing charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165.
