29th National Discipline Awards: Upholding Filipino values today, investing in tomorrow

The 29th National Discipline Awards (NDA) have awarded 435 young men and women for their individual efforts to uplift their families and immediate communities despite the ongoing challenges.

Organized by the AY Foundation, the NDA emphasized how the discipline, determination, and upright values of each awardee created a positive ripple effect in their schools and communities.

The NDA program was established in 1990 in response to the late Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco’s call to foster national discipline among the nation’s youth. It puts greater focus on an awardee’s character rather than academic performance.

Since 1990, the recognition program has named over 13,000 high school and senior high school awardees.

Each NDA Awardee received a San Lorenzo Ruiz gold medal and cash prize to help defray their college tuition.
