K-pop boy band ENHYPEN to release first studio album next month

K-pop boy band ENHYPEN will be making their comeback next month with the release of their first ever studio album.

BELIFT Lab, the idol group’s agency, announced on Sept. 17 that ENHYPEN will be releasing the album “Dimension: Dilemma” on Oct. 12 and fans may now pre-order it.

In addition, ENHYPEN released a video titled “Intro: Whiteout” for “Dimension: Dilemma.” The video visually conveys the lyrics to “Intro : Whiteout,” the first track to be included in the studio album.

While scenes of a clear blue sky and a glittering ocean deliver a refreshing feel, various objects such as chandeliers and coins aesthetically intersecting with the lyrics make the viewer question what the items stand for.

The ending narration—“Whatever we choose, We’ve got to run. What do you think?”—and the final scene zooming into a sandy beach not only leaves a lasting impression, but also draws curiosity towards what the versatile visual talents will reveal with their concepts.

“Dimension: Dilemma” will be released six months after ENHYPEN dropped their second mini album “Border: Carnival” last April.

ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020 with their first mini-album “Border: Day One,” which recorded the highest sales volume for an individual album among groups that debuted last year and became a “half-million seller” in six months after their debut. “Border: Carnival” peaked at No. 18 on Billboard 200.

Last Sept. 16, BELIFT Lab announced that ENHYPEN members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon and Ni-ki fully recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and were “discharged from their treatment facilities.” Sunoo is the only member who did not get the virus.

“We appreciate your deep concern for the health of our artists. We would also like to inform you that ENHYPEN’s 1st studio album will be released in October,” it said.
