Delfin J. Wenceslao Jr., Chairman of D.M. Wenceslao and Associates, Inc., has passed away at the age of 77.

“Ding or DJW was loved and respected for his passionate leadership, unyielding commitment to nation building and his advocacy to help the underprivileged have a better life,” the company said in a statement.

It added that, “Most importantly, he was a loving husband, a great dad and a doting lolo to all his apo’s. We will terribly miss his love, counsel and support.” “During this difficult time, we respectfully ask everyone to give the family time to reflect and celebrate in private his wonderful life,” DMWAI said.

It noted that, “While we are humbled by your outpouring love and sympathy to our family, we cannot at this time, accommodate any visit due to the current guidelines/restrictions.” The family requests that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Katipunan ng mga Mamayan ng Bagong Filipinas Foundation, Inc.

Wenceslao, Jr. is the former President of the Philippine Constructors Association, a Board Member of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations, and a member of the Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc.

He is a licensed real estate broker and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Ateneo De Manila University, a Master of Business Administration degree and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Pamantasan Lungsod ng Maynila.

Forbes Magazine ranked him at number 37 in the 2021 Philippines’ 50 Richest list with a net worth of $385 million.
