Under the department's Bigay Trabaho Program, a total of 1,090 workers have been given job opportunities, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said Thursday, Sept. 16.

Job openings from various construction companies posted under the program include welders, laborers, civil engineers, materials engineers and technicians, equipment operators, foremen, and carpenters among others.

According to Villar the 1,090 newly-hired workers were employed in various regions namely: National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and Caraga.

"As we build out of this crisis, our Build, Build, Build (BBB) Program will continue to create employment opportunities with Bigay Trabaho that are still open for jobseekers," Villar said.

“Jobseekers may still contact our different channels for available job positions that are vital to the success of our BBB Program. This is also our way of helping contractors so that they have enough manpower to implement and complete massive projects on time,” the secretary added.

The online job fair was launched on Aug. 9, 2021 and still runs up to this date through different platforms via Landline no. (02) 16502, Viber no. 0961-684-7084, or email at markvillar_bigaytrabaho.dpwh.gov.ph.
