Red Cross installs two medical tents in Pangasinan

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continues to support hospitals in this fight against the coronavirus and has established two 72 square meter medical tents on September 10 at the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

These 20-bed capacity tents are complete with air conditioning.

"The Red Cross remains true to its mandate to assist the Philippine government whenever and wherever it is needed. In this pandemic, we need to counter COVID-19 together for us to win our war against this virus," said PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon.

The International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent (IFRC) supported the PRC in making these tents available in the country. After Pangasinan, PRC will also support the Benguet General Hospital with a medical tent to augment their operations.

The PRC currently has 45 tents supporting medical facilities to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with tents serving as emergency field hospitals at the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP), National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), Cebu City Medical Center, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Mandaue District Hospital, Talisay District Hospital, and Cebu Provincial Hospital.
