MOWELCARES: A joy that overflows


Mowelfund and Maris Pure Corporation join forces to help the affected workers of the movie industry due to COVID-19 through its MOWELCAREs project. The Movie Workers Welfare Foundation known as Mowelfund and Maris Pure Corp., manufacturer of
“Healthy and Pure” purified drinking water, formed a corporate social responsibility partnership to help provide a livelihood to the movie workers such as cameramen, stuntmen, make-up artists, who have lost their jobs due to challenges brought about by the pandemic.


Dubbed “MOWELCAREs.….A Joy that Overflows,” the virtual campaign was launched on Sept 8, 2021. It was hosted by actors and comedians Cai Cortez and Betong Sumaya.

Present during the launch were the officers of Mowelfund headed by its Chairperson, Boots Anson Roa
Rodrigo, president Res Cortez, Vice President Julius Topacio, their Director for Admin and Finance, Emma Mon ALon, , and its Director for Welfare, Joey Roa.

Their partner Maris Pure Corp. was represented by its President and CEO Mike Chanco, CSR Director Dee Chanco, Sales Director Grace Sumang, Operations Director Mel Suman; and Creative Director RJ De Vera.

The campaign aims to build and provide sustainable solutions through social welfare, skills development, and major livelihood programs for the members of Mowelfund who will be the beneficiaries of the program.


For every 5 gallons, 350 ml, 500 ml, and 1 Liter of Healthy and Pure purified bottled water that will be sold, a corresponding percentage of the amount will be remitted to the Mowelfund.


“For every glass of Healthy and Pure (H&P) water that you drink, a movie worker is lifted with an opportunity," said H&P CSR Director Dee Chanco.
