5 'pushers' arrested, drug den dismantled in Manila buy-bust


Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested five men and dismantled a drug den where P102,000 worth of ‘shabu’ were seized in a buy-bust operation in Sampaloc, Manila on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (RO-NCR) Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspects as Alvin Halili, Paul John Gozon, Alvin Villanueva, Alfredo Castor and Rogen Espinar.

During the buy-bust in Barangay 463, the joint drug operatives confiscated several pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with 15 grams of suspected ‘shabu’ and other drug paraphernalia.

The seized items were brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative analysis while the suspects are now temporarily detained at the PDEA Jail Facility.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
