In a Facebook post, the PCG Legal Service commended LtSg. Charalej Guzman for being part of the 32 graduates who were awarded with a master’s degree in International Maritime Law last Friday, Sept. 3.

The PCG Legal Service said the program was an excellent opportunity for Guzman to enhance her crafting maritime policies and regulations applicable to the country’s maritime waters.

Guzman was also a recipient of the prestigious fellowship grant from the Nippon Foundation.

The IMLI virtual graduation ceremony marked the successful completion of students in the intensive years of studies in the law of the sea, shipping law, marine environmental law, maritime safety, maritime security law, and maritime legislation drafting.

At least 52 students from 38 different countries graduated from the institute’s program this year.
