Mayor Oca Malapitan said the flu vaccination program aims to protect the health of the city’s frontliners.

"Batid natin ang araw-araw na panganib na kinakaharap ng mga frontliner ng ating pamahalaang lungsod na nagbibigay ng kanilang serbisyo sa kabila ng pandemya. Kaya naman, mahalaga na bukod sa COVID-19 vaccine ay magkaroon sila nang karagdagang panlaban sa sakit (We are aware of the daily dangers faced by the frontliners of our city government who give their services despite the pandemic. Therefore, it is important that in addition to the COVID-19 vaccine they have additional protection against then disease)," Malapitan said.

According to the records of Caloocan City Human Resource and Management Department, around 5,000 employees will receive the flu vaccine and vitamins.
