K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s Lisa finally made her solo debut today (Sept. 10) with the release of her single album “Lalisa.”

According to YG Entertainment on Sept. 10, “Lalisa” has garnered 800,000 copies in pre-orders, further boosting Lisa’s record as the female K-pop solo artist with the highest pre-orders in history.

Earlier, the agency announced that “Lalisa” garnered 700,000 copies in pre-orders in just four days as of Aug. 30.

The “Lalisa” album has four tracks including “Lalisa” and “Money.” YG Entertainment said, “Both the title song ‘Lalisa’ and ‘Money’ have dynamic rhythms and melodies, and is a hip-hop genre where her unstoppable rap skills can be showcased. It’s about time for Lisa’s determination and abilities as a singer to shine through.”

Lisa’s solo debut came five years after she debuted in BLACKPINK in 2016.

"I keep shaking and can't believe it. I'm happy to show you my first solo performance, and I hope BLINKs will enjoy it," said Lisa, according to her agency.

She added, "This is my first solo album, and the album is so meaningful to be named 'Lalisa.’ BLINKs, thank you for waiting for my solo album for a long time. I worked hard to prepare for it.”

When asked the reason why she named the album and the carrier track “Lalisa,” Lisa said, “I wanted to capture my best image. I made this because I wanted to show Lalisa herself.” Lisa’s real name is Lalisa.

“I’m happy and excited to be able to show you my new side and music,” she added. Lisa will perform “Lalisa” for the first time on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Sept. 10.
