SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — The provincial government of Ilocos Norte, through its Sangguniang Panlalawigan, ushered a resolution declaring Friday, September 10, as a holiday for the local government, and September 11 as the commemoration of the 104th birth of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

Provincial Resolution No. 351-2021, approved during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s session on September 7, says the declaration is to honor the late President’s “legacy of idealism and philosophy is a source of pride and continuiung inspiration” deserves to be perpetuated and emulated.

However, since September 11 falls on a Saturday, the Sanggunian has also decided to declare Friday, September 10, a Special non-working holiday for local government offices in the province.

This includes all provincial, city, and municipal offices.
