The PBA announced Saturday, Sept. 4 the postponement of the Philippine Cup game between San Miguel Beer and Alaska scheduled on the same day due to the league’s health and safety protocols.

SMB and Alaska were supposed to play at 4:35 p.m. inside the campus of Don Honorio Ventura State University in Bacolor, Pampanga, but the league now said that the game will be held on a later date.

No other details were given but teams are mandated to undergo antigen tests on the morning of their scheduled games as part of stringent health measures set by the league.

Still pushing through is the match between NLEX and Phoenix Super LPG which will now start at 4:35 p.m.

The Road Warriors-Fuel Masters affair was originally slated to tip off at 2 p.m.

It was the first game postponed since the Philippine Cup restarted last Sept. 1 in Bacolor. The league had previously called off several matches last July when the first two weeks of the eliminations were held at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
