Select farmers in Nueva Vizcaya will get their own housing units soon as the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) vowed to start building this month a housing project dedicated to its beneficiaries.
The project, implemented under BALAI (Building Adequate, Livable, Affordable and Inclusive Filipino Communities) Housing Program, aims to provide farmers and their families “decent houses to live in,” DAR said in a statement Saturday, Sep. 4.
It added that the housing units, set to build in Barangay La Torre in the municipality of Bayombong, will “rise the living standard” of the farmers.
According to DAR, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Sept. 8, 2021 to signify “the realization of their (farmer’s) dream.”
