High-value target caught, P102-K 'shabu' seized in Bulacan buy-bust


An alleged high value target (HVT) drug suspect was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after he yielded P102,000 worth of suspected methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu), a gun, and live ammunition in a buy-bust operation in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Thursday night, Sept. 2.

PDEA-3 Regional Director Bryan Babang identified the suspect as Cecinio Galit, 34, of Barangay Citrus.

In a statement, Babang described Galit as a high value target (HVT) by the PDEA and the Philippine National Police (PNP).

In his report to PDEA Director-General Wilkins Villanueva, Babang said that the joint PDEA and local police operatives seized several transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000 from the suspect.

The operatives also recovered frlm the suspect one weighing scale, one caliber .38 firearm with with six live ammunition, and the buy-bust money.

The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
