Rape case filed vs cop in abuse of quarantine violator in Bataan

Criminal charges that include rape were slapped against a rookie cop who was accused of sexually abusing a quarantine violator in Bataan.

At the same time, Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), ordered the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) to expedite the summary dismissal proceedings against Patrolman Elmer Tuazon Jr.

Eleazar said both Tuazon and 53-year old civilian Armando Dimaculangan, team marshall of the local government unit also manning the checkpoint, were slapped with additional case of Acts of Lasciviousness aside from the rape case.

Dimaculangan was accused of molesting the victim before Tuazon forced her to perform oral sex as punishment for violating quarantine protocol.

“Criminal complaints of Rape by Sexual Assault and Acts of Lasciviousness have been lodged against the two suspects with prosecutor saying that a probable cause exists for the said crimes and recommends that criminal information be filed in court,” said Eleazar.

Eleazar also vowed that justice to the victim of the two suspects.

He also called on the public to immediately file complaints against cops who are involved in illicit activities.
