An inroad leading to the normalization of education in the country has been realized with the approval of limited face-to-face classes in 118 universities and colleges.

This developed as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases announced that it will be adopting the OneHealthPass platform to ensure the seamless movement of international travelers in the country.

An update on the brazen daytime ambush of a Cebu lawyer showed that the victim had posted his concerns about some people wanting to have him killed.

These are among the top stories this Saturday morning, August 28, 2021.

A mural bearing the images of Tokyo 2020 Olympics medalists weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz (gold), and boxers Eumir Marcial (bronze), Nesthy Petecio (silver) and Carlo Paalam (silver) adorns the basketball court at the Bagong Lipunan Tenement in Taguig City. Resident-artists put their talents and skills together to come up with the gigantic art work to honor the country’s Olympic heroes. (Ali Vicoy)
