Go and Sara have no issues against each other

Senator Christopher ‘’Bong’’ Go on Thursday August 26 said he and Presidential daughter Davao city Sara Duterte-Carpio are friends.

‘’Nagkakausap kami ni Mayor Sara (I and Mayor Sara talked). Wala kaming isyu sa isa’t isa (We have no issues against each other),’’ Go said of Mayor Sara’s complaint that her name is being dragged in the internal fight at the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino (PDP)-Laban party leadership.

PDP-Laban has two factions. One is headed by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi. The other hs headed by Senator Aquilino Pimentel III, son of the late Senate President Aquilino Pimentel Jr, founder of PDP-Laban.

Sara is head of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), a regional political party.

President Duterte had announced that he would not seek the vice presidency if Sara wants to run for the presidency.

The Cusi wing of the PDP-Laban seeks the approval for the Go-Rodrigo Duterte tandem in party convention of the Cusi faction on September 8 in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

‘’Kung anong pagmamahal ko sa tatay ganun din ang pagmamahal ko sa mga anak (I love for President Duterte and his children is the same). Alam ni Pangulong Duterte yan (President Duterte knows that),’’ Go said in a statement to Senate reporters.

‘’Nangako ako sa kanya na sasamahan ko siya habangbuhay (I promised him that I would be by his side till death). At isa sa mga ipinagbilin niya sa akin ay huwag ko pababayaan ang mga anak niya kung wala na siya sa mundong ito (And one of his instructions is that I take care of his children when he is gone),’’ he pointed out.

Sara is head of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), a regional political party.

Go was a long time confidant of then Davao Mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte.

He briefly served as Special Assistant to President Duterte before joining the 24-member Senate.
