4 suspects arrested in P3.57-M shabu busts in Muntinlupa


Authorities seized some P3.4 million worth of shabu from three drug suspects during a buy-bust operation at a mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa Wednesday afternoon.

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Aurora Provincial Office, PDEA Southern District Office, Muntinlupa police, Station Intelligence Section and Alabang Sub-station 3 launched the entrapment operation at around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 at a parking lot of the Alabang mall.

Confiscated during the buy-bust were a transparent bag containing suspected shabu weighing about 500 grams worth around P3.4 million, and the buy-bust money.

Muntinlupa police chief Col. Melecio Buslig identified the arrested suspects as Richard Flaminian, 59; Vilma Maritana, 51; and Bricks Marhana, 18, all residents of Purok 1, Brgy. Cupang, Muntinlupa. Another suspect, identified as Fredrick Moldez, 40, of Brgy. Alabang, is at large.

Buslig said the suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In another buy-bust operation by the Muntinlupa police’s Drug Enforcement Unit, suspect Ronnie Rivera, 41, of Muntinlupa, was arrested in Purok 6, Cupang on Wednesday.

The police seized 25 grams of suspected shabu worth P170,000 from the suspect. The drugs were sent to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
