Safe at last! 22 OFWs arrive from Afghanistan via London


A total of 22 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Afghanistan arrived in the country as the Philippine government continue to account as many of Pinoy workers for their transport back home.

The 22 Filipinos are workers in Afghanistan who joined the British soldiers on their withdrawal from the conflict-torn country.

Taliban has started occupying almost all of the country after the United States decided to withdraw its troops after 20 years of stay.

The 22 Filipinos arrives at around 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from London.

The Philippine government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs, arranged and coordinated their journey back to Manila.
