It’s confirmed: Red Velvet’s Joy, R&B singer Crush dating

K-pop girl group Red Velvet member Joy, 24, and R&B singer Crush, 24, are dating, according to Korean media.

Media outlet Sports Chosun published an exclusive report on Aug. 23 reporting that Joy and Crush are in a relationship.

The two worked together last year when Crush featured Joy in his song “Mayday” that was released on May 20, 2020. The music video for “Mayday” has accumulated 10.36 million views on YouTube to date.
The report added that at the time, they worked together and had chemistry. They maintained their friendship and they recently developed feelings for each other. As both dog lovers, the two stars had ordinary dates such as walking the dog together.

After the news came out, Crush confirmed that he and Joy are dating through an announcement by his agency P Nation.

“They recently started dating with good feelings towards each other after being a senior and junior,” P Nation told MyDaily. SM Entertainment, Joy’s agency, also released the same statement to the media to confirm that the two are dating.

Before this, P Nation told the media, "We are confirming the dating rumors between Crush and Joy. We will reveal our position as soon as it is confirmed.”

Crush debuted as a solo artist in 2014. He is famous for singing the track “Beautiful,” which is part of the original soundtrack of the hit drama “Goblin” in 2016. The “Beautiful” music video now has 105.29 million views on YouTube since Dec. 16, 2016.

Joy debuted in Red Velvet in 2014. In May, she released her first solo album “Hello.” Red Velvet, meanwhile, made their comeback last Aug. 16 with the album “Queendom.”
