During a public briefing, Teodoro said that 315,276 out of 336,195 individuals eligible for vaccination have received their COVID-19 jab, making Marikina the second city in Metro Manila to have a high vaccination rate. San Juan City was the first LGU to achieve herd immunity target last April 10.

Teodoro said that the city is open to vaccinating people from other nearby LGUs as Marikina is expected to reach 100 percent vaccination rate soon.

Marikina City has 75 vaccination teams composed of the LGUs, barangay health personnel, non-health personnel, and volunteer health workers.

Teodoro said that the city has six mega vaccination facilities that are capable of vaccinating from 2,000 to 5,000 daily, totaling 15,000 jabs per day.

“We’re very happy that the supply of the vaccine now is not only steady, but we have a very adequate supply of the vaccine,” the mayor said.

Meanwhile, he said that the vaccination sites do not accept walk-ins and urged his constituents to register in the city's vaccination program online to have their schedule.
