Serving a money cake to a birthday party is a surefire way to bring joy to both the celebrant and the attendees. It tastes great and packs such a surprise that can make a social media post go viral, helping it become a famous pick among intimate gatherings. While everyone would love to get loaded with cash on their special day, sometimes, it's not always about the money but the thought that goes into it that counts.
That's what Le Gré Cakeshop did in its latest cake creation. Instead of going with a chic confectionery design, the bakeshop highlighted a tita must-have, the Efficascent oil, for its look.
Owned by a mother-daughter trio, Mommy Grace and sisters Gretchen and Grezel Ledesma, Le Gré Cakeshop is a growing bakery based in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.
According to them, the specially-designed cake was made for Gretchen’s partner as a monthsary gift. Since he was always complaining about his lower back problems, the cake was an ode to his misery and relief. Yes, the Efficascent cake puts the "comfort" in comfort food, literally, as inside the cake are packets of pain relief patches Salonpas.
"That Efficascent cake is a strawberry cream cake with strawberry sauce filling, covered with fresh whipped cream," the cake shop tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. "Our customers can also choose other flavors like chocolate, coffee, ube halaya, durian, among others. We customized cakes depending on the customers requests (size, flavor, and designs)"
