Kapuso star Maine Mendoza has pointed out that she's not tolerating her boyfriend actor Arjo Atayde who reportedly left Baguio City even after he tested positive for COVID-19.

"Hello! I am not 'tolerating' him, but there’s just so much you do not know about the story. And I hope he gets the chance to tell his side and the context of what had happened these past few days. I also hope you do not base your judgments solely on what you see online," tweeted Maine on Aug. 18.

Maine was reacting to a netizen who thought she was tolerating her boyfriend, whose group allegedly breached health protocols while shooting a movie in the Pine City.

"Ayaw kong maniwala na kaya mong itolerate ang mali, na mas pabor sayo ang ginawa ni atayde kesa sa safety ng maraming tao. Hindi isang Maine Mendoza yun," a netizen wrote.

Maine added: "…because you might just be seeing an angle of the real scenario."

On Aug. 17, Magalong claimed that 10 stars, including Arjo, who were shooting a movie in Baguio City, were tested positive for the virus.

Magalong said that he instructed Arjo through text messages not to go out, only to find out later that the actor went back to Manila.

Ellen Criste, head of production, Feelmaking Productions Inc. said in a statement on Aug. 18 that Arjo has been rushed to the hospital due to COVID-19.

Criste also said that the Atayde family has reached out to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and assured him that they will comply with the commitments to the city.
