Hospital Director Dr. Grace Padilla said Domagoso underwent baseline laboratory tests on Monday, including inflammatory marker tests.

Measuring inflammatory markers helps assist clinicians in monitoring and evaluating "the severity and prognosis of COVID-19,” according to a 2020 study by Furong Zeng et.al titled “Association of inflammatory markers with the severity of COVID-19: A meta-analysis.”

Domagoso’s vital signs and electrocardiogram (ECG) are also normal.

The mayor continues to have no fever on his second day of hospitalization, according to Padilla.

“He is able to rest and sleep well and he has fair appetite,” she added.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan is “remarkably improving” and “continues to exhibit remarkable recovery.”

Domagoso tested positive for COVID-19 on Aug. 15, while Pangan got her result on Aug. 8. Both are confined at the Sta. Ana Hospital for treatment.
