Saso struggles anew, slips to 15th spot in Scotland

Yuka Saso struggled for the second straight day, settling for a two-over par 74 and slipping to joint 15th going into the final 18 holes of the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open at Dumbarnie Links, Scotland on Sunday (Manila time).

Along with her earlier rounds of 67 and 72, the Fil-Japanese had a three-day aggregate of 213 – six strokes off Thai Ariya Jutanugarn, England’s Charley Hull and American Ryann O’Toole.

The Thai star could have stayed solo leader but bogeyed the final two holes on another windy conditions to card an even 72 for a three-day total of 207.

Saso, the reigning US Women’s Open winner, had only two birdies against four bogeys.

The three are just a stroke ahead of Thai Atthaya Thitikul (70) and South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai (67) and two over Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist. (REY C. LACHICA)
