The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) has announced that it will temporarily stop accepting non-coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients, and even temporarily close its outpatient department; the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Laguna has been extended to August 20, 2021; and the Department of Justice (DOJ) is studying if taking booster shots, at this time, is illegal.

Meanwhile, a study by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) shows that urban adolescents could more likely become obese compared to their rural counterparts, while the daughters of the late Jessie Robredo remember their father on nine years after his untimely demise.
