BTS, EXO, Seventeen, NCT and ASTRO grabbed the first five places in the K-pop boy band brand reputation rankings for the month of August.
According to the Korea Corporate Research Institute, 53.68 million pieces of big data were analyzed from July 14 to Aug. 14, down by 6.87 percent from 57.65 million in July.
The brand reputation index is obtained by extracting brand big data and analyzing consumer behavior. The consumers’ brand consumption patterns were analyzed based on consumer participation, media exposure, communication and community indices. Beginning September, the recommendation index will be included in the rankings.
BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook) took first place with a brand reputation index of 13.09 million, down by 12.65 percent compared to their first place score of 14.99 million in July.
EXO (Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, D.O., Baekhyun, Sehun, Xiumin, Chen and Lay) rose to second from fourth place with a brand reputation score of 3.58 million, an increase of 20.97 percent from last month’s 2.96 million.
Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino) slid to third from second place with a score of 2.91 million, down by 30.9 percent from 4.22 million in July.
NCT (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Lucas, Jungwoo and Kun) rose to fourth from fifth place, garnering a brand reputation index of 2.52 million in August, up by 2.14 percent from 2.46 million in July.
ASTRO (MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, Moonbin, Rocky and Sanha) climbed to fifth from 11th place, getting a brand reputation score of 2.5 million, an increase of 72.63 percent from 1.45 million in July.
