A total of 578,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were delivered to the Philippines on Friday morning, Aug. 13.
The British-Swedish vaccines arrived at 9:35 a.m. via a China Airlines flight at Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City. It was the fourth shipment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) jabs to be flown into the country since Wednesday.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), operator of NAIA, provided the photos of the cargo's arrival.
The latest batch of anti-COVID jabs will be immediately delivered to the PharmaServ Express cold-chain facility in Marikina City for temporary storage.
