ILOILO CITY – Iloilo is the first province in Western Visayas to receive the Safety Seal from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for implementation of protocols against COVID-19.
Atty. Suzette Mamon, administrator of the Iloilo provincial government, received the DILG Safety Seal on behalf of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. Friday, Aug. 13.
DILG-Iloilo Provincial Director Teodora Sumagaysay said the local government passed all the checklist in implementing minimum health standard protocols and curbed the spread of COVID-19.
This is particularly at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, the seat of government of the province.
Sumagaysay said the provincial government has implemented protocols that not only protect its workers, but also clientele who have transactions to do.
According to Mamon, the Iloilo Provincial Health Office led by Dr. Maria Socorro Quiñon and the Human Resource Management and Development Office were instrumental in implementing the health protocols.
