Eric Fructoso's son is getting married, gives marriage advice

His son is getting married—and having a baby!

Time flies and before we know it, our kids are getting married already. Just like 44-year-old Eric Fructoso whose son Frederick is getting married and having a baby soon.

In Eric's latest post, he shared a video via IGTV on the lessons he learned from getting married. "O, ito, ikakasala ka na. Magkaka-baby ka na (You're getting married, and you're having a baby)," he starts off.

"Ito a, based on experience lang ha. Hindi ko sinasabi sundin mo, hindi ko sinasabi na gayahin mo ako. Pero marami akong pagkakamaling ginawa, especially sa mommy mo (This is based on my experience. I'm not saying that you follow them but I made a lot of mistakes, especially to your mom)," he says. "Ito pinaka-payo ko sa iyo, alagaan mo ang asawa mo. Papakinggan mo siya. Susundin mo siya (This is my advice to you—take care of your wife. Listen to her. Follow her)."

He then moves on to the topic of temptation, "Huwag ka mapapadala sa temptation. Sinasabi ko sa iyo, hanggang sa edad ko ngayon, tinatrabaho ako ng babae lagi. Hindi ko na experience manligaw, anak. Pero lagi akong tinatrabaho (Don't ever give in to temptation. I'm telling you, even until now at my age, women run after me. I've never had the experience of courting someone, my son. It was always the other way around)." Eric was part of the "Gwapings" back in the '90s and was considered one of the heartthrobs back then.

"Kaya alam mo yan, minsan nauuto ako, wala e. Marupok pa ako. Naniniwala ako, pag sinabihan ako 'I love you,' ako rin, 'I love you' (So now that you know. Sometimes, I'm gullible. I'm weak. I believe them. If someone says, 'I love you,' I say it back, 'I love you, too!')"

"Ibig sabihin (What I'm saying is that), be true to your wife—love her, love her like there is no tomorrow; and enjoy mo lang. Huwag kang mapapaniwala sa mga babae ha (Don't believe in other women, okay?)," he ends the short video.
